03 The manufacturing process

Precision
after the furnace.

S / 03

The TMT process is a controlled sequence of heat, deformation, rapid cooling and self-tempering that develops strength outside and ductility within.

01From heat to reinforcement

Every stage leaves
a signature.

The final bar is shaped by a chain of linked controls. Stability at one stage protects performance at the next.

Our manufacturing approach pays attention to material condition, rolling temperature, rib formation, water-box behaviour, cooling uniformity and final product verification before release.

01
Material preparation

Begin with control

Input material is prepared for a stable heating and rolling cycle, supporting repeatable downstream behaviour.

02
Reheating

Bring steel to working temperature

Uniform heating prepares the material for deformation through the rolling line.

03
Hot rolling

Shape the section and ribs

Successive stands reduce and form the bar while developing the required surface profile.

04
Rapid surface cooling

Create the hardened outer layer

Controlled water cooling rapidly changes the bar’s outer zone while its core retains heat.

05
Self-tempering

Balance strength and ductility

Residual core heat tempers the outer layer as the full section stabilises on the cooling bed.

06
Inspection and dispatch

Verify before release

Product checks, identification and order coordination complete the path to the customer.

Performance must be
demonstrated.

Quality review combines material, mechanical and dimensional checks to build a more complete picture of the finished bar.

01 / MATERIAL

Chemical composition

Composition review supports stable processing and expected mechanical behaviour.

02 / STRENGTH

Tensile properties

Yield and ultimate tensile response are assessed for the applicable product requirement.

03 / DUCTILITY

Elongation & bend

Elongation, bend and rebend behaviour help evaluate fabrication and structural suitability.

04 / GEOMETRY

Mass & dimensions

Diameter, weight and rib-related consistency support predictable use on site.

Traceability

Know the batch.
Follow the bar.

04Process discipline
PEOPLE

Operators who watch the line

Equipment matters, but attentive process ownership turns settings into repeatable outcomes.

CONTROL

Parameters that stay visible

Critical production conditions are followed so variation can be recognised and managed.

RELEASE

Material that earns dispatch

Final release follows the required checks and order identification workflow.

From process to project
