We supply Fe 500, Fe 500D, Fe 500S, Fe 550, Fe 550D and Fe 600 to IS 1786:2008, plus a corrosion-resistant Fe 500D CRS chemistry. The D grades carry higher elongation and tighter sulphur and phosphorus limits for ductile detailing; the S grade is written for seismic design; and Fe 600 helps rationalise heavily congested members.
We also roll Fe 650 to order. IS 1786:2008 stops at Fe 600, so Fe 650 is not an Indian Standard grade — it is produced and released against a specification agreed in writing for the order, and your structural engineer must approve its use.
Thirteen diameters: 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25, 28, 32, 36, 40, 45 and 50 mm. Availability of a given diameter can vary by grade, order quantity and the current production schedule.
That decision belongs to your structural engineer and the approved drawings. As a general orientation, Fe 500D covers most residential and commercial RCC work, Fe 550D suits higher-load designs, Fe 600 helps where reinforcement is congested, and CRS is specified for coastal, basement or water-facing structures. Our team is happy to talk through the options against your BOQ.
